I am getting way ahead of myself here.
Here I am, writing my first blog entry (yay!) when in fact I shouldn't.
Reason 1: I have promised myself to keep the excitement to myself and wait for:
a.) the boyfriend to be home on sembreak so he can use his fantastic photography skills for my *ahem* works of art
b.) enough resources (ingredients) and equipment (better looking kitchen utensils) before i commence flaunting my kitchen skills (autograph signing schedules will be posted)
Reason 2: Reason number 1 repeated
So as you can see, there really isn't much to be expected from this food blog...yet.
But that's where you come in.
I am not a professional chef. But I am passionate about food. I love making meals as much as I love to eat. I love cooking, mixing, whisking, mincing, dicing, baking, tasting, slurping, licking...hey, I'm still talking about food here. (you bad, bad person)
If you are as passionate about food as I am, then join me. Together, we will delve into different cuisines, discover valuable tips and whatnots, know the best food establishments in the city, try out exciting recipes, and learn from each other as we share and explore our way into the wonderful of the culinary arts. And as we go along, you and I can both make significant contributions to the development of this food blog. Remember third-grade friendship clubhouses? This blog will be just like that - our own little haven. But more electronic.
What matters is that you and I are gonna be in this together. (I'm fighting the urge to break out into a song. Seriously.)
So I guess this first step isn't so out of timing after all. After all, you'll never get anywhere unless you start. (I just redeemed myself hah!)
